When we lean on our own strength, we start imagining worst-case scenarios. Fear can lead us down a path of anxiety, anger, or even isolation—pulling us away from God and the people we love. The enemy loves to use fear to distract us from God’s truth. As 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV) reminds us, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Fear isn’t from God; it’s a lie that tries to steal your peace.
