The three soul searching questions that have driven humanity are:

Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going?

Are there answers to these guiding questions?

The Apostle Paul under the Holy Spirit’s inspiration says, YES!

Read on or listen to the podcast on this subject:

Saul was driven by “a zeal for his inherited Jewish traditions.” Jesus Christ revealed himself on the road to Damascus and Saul became Paul, the Apostle.
What was the dynamic that so dramatically re-wired him? Light from God’s presence that revealed the truth that Jesus was the Messiah Paul longed for.

In Romans, Paul goes deeper. After Paul’s encounter, he entered into a deep fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. Through this intimacy with the Spirit of truth, it was revealed to him that Jesus was a descendant of David from the perspective of humanity, but was the “declared Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead through the Spirit of truth and holiness.”

Paul’s identity was changed dramatically by his encounter with Christ and his intimacy with God through his Spirit. He now says he is, “a willing servant of Jesus Christ, called as an Apostle to focus his gifts and talents on building God’s home in the Roman empire.”

Paul had the answers to “who he was, why he was there and where he was going!” These were revealed to Paul by his continuing encounter with the resurrected Jesus Christ.

God’s nature is to reveal who He is. He is the God of light and truth.
He invites us to draw close to Him on the basis of Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross for us. In this fellowship with Him and other seekers, we find our true self.

We invite you to engage in this pursuit of God and your true self. There is no other way to truly satisfy your longings apart from God’s presence, love and light.

In closure, Paul in Colossians 3:1-3 gives a challenge to seek your true identity in the fact that “since you have been raised with Christ we are to seek the things above where Christ is because he is now our source of true spiritual life.”

Challenge:

  • How do you answer the three big questions of life? Who are you? Why are you here? Where are you going?
  • We send out these blogs to serve you in your journey. Please share these with other seekers. Also, check out our podcast.
  • We would like to build a relationship with you. Give us your feedback. May God shine His light into your heart as you seek Him!

  1. Thank you Jeff and George. God never gives up on those who seek him out. Admittedly, we are all a handful; flawed, sinners, and self-serving. Yet, the Lord is always building bridges for us to cross to fulfill our potential and destiny. The three questions posed are the formation of moral compasses that help us find our purpose/calling. At the core of our moral compasses must be Jesus Christ.

All He asks of us is to do our very best each day. No more or no less. While this may seem like a large threshold, the Lord knows we can only take small steps toward Him. Each step is revealing, enlightening, and purposeful. I pray that you will continue these podcasts so that we may may learn and grow closer to Christ. Thank you for your massive contributions. Many blessings, Mark
